Every Brush & Wonder lesson is designed to fit inside 30 minutes. Not because we ran out of ideas, but because 30 minutes is genuinely the sweet spot for children aged 4 to 12.
Attention works in cycles
Children’s focused attention runs in natural cycles of around 15 to 20 minutes. A well-structured 30-minute session catches two complete cycles – a warm-up that builds towards the main activity, then a finishing flourish before attention starts to wander.
Stopping before they want to stop
The most powerful thing you can do is end a session while your child still wants more. Always stop before the enjoyment runs out. You want them to ask “can we do another one?” not to look relieved it is over.
Consistency beats intensity
Thirty minutes every week for a year is 26 hours of rich, focused learning. A single all-day project is exhausting and memorable for the wrong reasons. Small and regular wins every time.
It fits into real family life
Saturday morning before lunch. Sunday afternoon before screens. After school on a Wednesday when energy is still high. Thirty minutes fits. Two hours does not.
Every Brush & Wonder lesson is built around this principle. Warm-up, make task, upgrade. Thirty minutes, every week. Start your free trial and see how it fits into your family’s rhythm.
